Product Safety, Precautions & Contraindications

This document applies to all Luran products, including devices that utilize kneading (shiatsu) massage, vibration therapy, and infrared heat therapy. All users must review these guidelines before operating any Luran device.

Luran products are non-medical wellness devices. They have not been evaluated or approved by the FDA or any other regulatory authority. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition.

1. General Warnings

• Luran devices are designed solely for general wellness, comfort, and relaxation.
• No information provided by Luran — including product descriptions, customer testimonials, marketing content, or educational material — constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations.
• Any customer experiences described on our website or in our marketing are individual anecdotal reports. They are not clinical findings, are not typical of all users, and should not be interpreted as claims of medical benefit.
• If you have any medical concerns, consult a licensed healthcare professional before use.
• Discontinue use immediately if you experience pain, dizziness, numbness, tingling, radiating symptoms, or unexplained discomfort.
• Luran devices must not replace medical care or professional treatment.

2. Precautions (Use with Modification or Medical Guidance)

Use Luran products with caution if you have or suspect any of the following conditions:

• Controlled hypertension
• Osteopenia or osteoporosis
• Pregnancy (requires medical guidance before use)
• Diabetes
• Varicose veins (depending on severity)
• Abnormal sensations, including numbness or tingling
• Sensitivity to pressure, heat, or vibration
• Recent injury, trauma, or surgery (only after adequate healing)
• Mild scoliosis or spinal deformity
• Cervical (neck) spine conditions, including disc degeneration or chronic neck instability
• History of migraine, vertigo, or unexplained dizziness
• Medications affecting sensation or blood thickness
• Peripheral neuropathy
• Mild circulatory issues
• Recent cosmetic or dermatological procedures on the neck, jawline, or shoulders
• Dermatological sensitivity or reactive skin conditions

Users should reduce intensity levels and shorten usage times when in doubt. Begin with the lowest intensity setting and heat turned off until you know how your body responds.

3. Contraindications (Do Not Use Unless Cleared by a Physician)

Do not use Luran devices if any of the following apply:

Skin and Tissue Conditions

• Open wounds, infections, burns, bruises, tumors, rashes, blisters, or skin inflammation

Circulatory and Vascular Disorders

• Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) or history of embolism
• Severe varicose veins
• Peripheral arterial disease or insufficiency
• Carotid artery disease, carotid stenosis, or a history of stroke or transient ischaemic attack (TIA)
• Phlebitis or clotting disorders
• Bleeding disorders or current anticoagulant therapy

Bone and Structural Disorders

• Bone fractures or recent fractures
• Cervical spine instability, fracture, or fusion
• Myositis ossificans
• Severe scoliosis or spinal deformity
• Osteomyelitis

Neurological Conditions

• Severe sensory impairment
• Epilepsy or seizure disorders

Cardiac and Organ Disease

• Pacemaker, implanted cardioverter defibrillator (ICD), or any implanted electrical device
• Acute or severe cardiac, liver, or kidney disease
• Cardiomyopathy or similar severe cardiac conditions

Surgical and Implant Considerations

• Recent surgical sites
• Metal implants or surgical hardware in the neck, cervical spine, or shoulder region

Heat or Light Sensitivity Conditions

• Photoallergies
• Lupus, porphyria, or other heat-sensitive disorders
• Hyperpigmentation conditions exacerbated by heat

Additional Contraindications

• Unexplained pain in the treatment area
• Pregnancy (without medical clearance)
• Active infection in or near the treatment region
• Known or suspected malignancy unless cleared by an oncologist
• Swollen, tender, or enlarged lymph nodes in the neck

4. Body Area Restrictions

Do not use Luran devices directly on the following areas:

• Eyes or eyelids
• Throat or front of the neck
• Over the carotid arteries (the sides of the front of the neck)
• Directly over the cervical spine bones
• Genitalia or groin
• Over major arteries
• Open wounds or unhealed surgical incisions
• Regions with active inflammation or infection

The Luran Neck Massager is designed to rest across the back of the neck and the tops of the shoulders. Do not reposition the massage nodes onto the front or sides of the throat.

5. Material Allergy Notice

Luran devices may contain components made from PU/vegan leather, silicone, TPU, ABS plastic, foams, mesh textiles, nylon, and metal. Do not use any device if you have known allergies to these materials.

6. Heat Therapy Warnings

Do not use heat functions if you have:

• Reduced heat sensitivity
• Circulatory disorders
• Skin conditions or open wounds
• Applied topical creams such as menthol or analgesics
• A medical condition aggravated by heat exposure

Monitor the skin during use to prevent overheating or burns. Do not fall asleep while the heat function is active. Do not use the device over thick clothing that traps heat against the skin.

7. Kneading Massage and Vibration Therapy Warnings

Avoid use if you have:

• Active inflammation
• Open wounds
• Severe varicose veins
• Muscle tears or severe muscular injuries
• Sensory impairment or neuropathy

Avoid direct use over bones, surgical implants, tumors, or metal hardware.

The Luran Neck Massager uses arm straps to let you control pressure. Pulling the straps increases the force applied to your muscles. Do not apply more pressure than is comfortable, and never use body weight or external force to press the nodes into the neck.

8. Duration of Use

• Limit sessions to 15-20 minutes per area.
• Allow the muscles to rest between sessions.
• Do not use the device while sleeping.
• Extended use beyond recommended times may cause muscle soreness, bruising, or skin irritation.

9. Environmental and Electrical Safety

• Do not use Luran devices in wet environments.
• Keep charging components away from liquids.
• Do not operate near flammable gases or in explosive atmospheres.
• Do not modify any device or power component.
• Do not use devices with damaged cords, chargers, batteries, or housing.
• Do not use the device while it is charging unless the manufacturer's instructions explicitly permit it.

10. Usage Expectations and When to Stop

Immediately stop using the product if:

• Pain increases during or after use
• Numbness, tingling, or radiating symptoms occur
• Dizziness, light-headedness, headaches, or nausea develop
• Visual disturbance or ringing in the ears begins or worsens
• Skin irritation, swelling, or discoloration appears
• Any unexplained symptoms arise

Seek medical attention if symptoms persist after stopping use.

11. Children and Restricted User Groups

Luran devices are not intended for:

• Children
• Individuals with cognitive impairment
• Individuals unable to operate the device safely
• Individuals who cannot communicate discomfort

Supervision is required for vulnerable users.

12. Modification, Misuse, and Warranty Void Conditions

Warranty and liability protections are void if:

• The device is modified in any way
• The device is used in unintended ways
• Safety guidelines or contraindications are ignored
• The device is used while sleeping
• The device is applied to restricted body areas

13. Acceptance of Terms

By purchasing, using, or interacting with any Luran device or accessing Luran educational content, you acknowledge that you:

• Understand these safety guidelines
• Assume all risks associated with device use
• Agree that Luran is not liable for misuse or use against contraindications

If you do not agree with these terms, do not use the product.
